We have some exciting news… at our appointment this week, all 4 babies decided to cooperate so that we could find out genders! Yahoo! Currently we are still the only ones that know, but make your final guesses because we can’t wait to officially announce later this weekend! Josh and I both said we would be extremely excited with whatever God blessed us with, but we still always wondered how many of these sweet little ones were girls and boys. Josh has never been one for surprises, so during our appointment this week he told the sonographer that he wanted to know immediately what we having. He then went on to have her double check and triple check to make sure! Haha. Of course, we were overjoyed to find out and it already makes us feel like we know them even more!

We cannot believe these sweet babies are officially 17 weeks now! God is so good! This means we are over half way, as 34 weeks would be the longest we would go! We still don’t know when exactly potential bed rest may happen, but we know God’s timing will be perfect. Each of these babies are about the size of a pear now and weighing between 4 and 5 oz. Crazy to think that already adds up to one pound of babies! I however, have gained much more than that with a whopping 18 lbs! I keep telling Josh he better watch out or I just may catch up to him! 2800 calories is what I have been told me to aim for each day and I never imagined eating could be such a task!

During this time, many of you have asked how you can specifically be praying for us. We honestly cannot put into words what a gift that is! While we appreciate everyone’s generosity in so many ways, the gift of prayer means more than you know! Right now, all 4 babies are looking happy and healthy, but we would appreciate prayers for their growth and weight gain since they will already be premature. We would also appreciate prayers for strength and health for this mama to be able to grow these babies as long as possible (34 weeks would be amazing!!)! Finally, you can be praying for Josh and I, that our hearts and minds would not be anxious about anything, but that we would surrender everything, knowing God has every detail in His hands. Sometimes it can be hard with so many unknowns, but overall we cannot stop praising Him! We left our appointment again in awe of God’s faithfulness! We know He is working through every detail and we can’t thank Him enough.

“This is the confidence we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” 1 John 5:14-15
